Goalie Mental Training

"For goaltenders everything is playing between your ears.   If you can believe it, you can do it.  If you're not confident when you start, it makes a difference"

                                                                                  - PATRICK ROY

Purpose Of These Visualizations For Goalies

These Pre Game Visualizations are designed specifically for you, the goaltender to get your head in the game. These visualizations were initially designed for an NHL Goalie and we've edited them so all goalies can use them.

You The Goalie Play Your Best When...

When do you play your best as a goalie?  The answer is when your confidence level is at its peak. Generally this is after you/ve made a bunch of big saves. When your confidence level is at its peak.

Howcome and How Does Visualization Work For You?

Your subconscious mind does not recognize what is real and not real. Therefore, by you visualizing all the saves you will make before the game will help boost your confidence level and therefore increasing your level of performance to ultimately "Play Better" and "Stop More Pucks".

How To Use This Visualization Program For Best Results

The first time you listen to a Puckmasters Goalies Pre Game Visualization listen to 3a. (below) which is the longest version (about 25 minutes). This helps explain the importance of visualization and has a great story on how an NHL team used this power to win Stanley Cups.

After you have listened to 3a and you now understand the importance of visualization then you may move on to 3b which is the same as 3a except it doesn't discuss the importance of visualizaiton as you will already know that.

Listen to 3b before the next 3 - 5 games that you have. At this point you will notice that your mind will also start to visualize automatically for you. (Your brain is very smart and picks up fast on things). Once this begins to happen you can now listen to the shorter versions of the visualization. Make sure you go to the shorter versions in the correct order.

Do not listen to 3c until you've listend to 3b for the 3- 5 times and then do not listen to 3d until you've atleast listened to 3c once.
