Hockey training success stories

If I can do it and make improvements to my game at 55, imagine what you can do

March 11th, 2009

Dear Chad and Puckmasters Staff,

Thanks for all the help, insight, instruction, encouragement, hockey stories from Canada, and of course, the new hockey moves and skills you've taught me.  I might hold the record for being one of the oldest playesr at Puckmasters at age 55, but with you and your staffs instruction and some inspiration on my part, I truly can say I have become a much better player because of Puckmasters.  Playing in an Adult Recreational League I do get the opportunity to utilize the skills  I have learned and these past months have really helped make an improvement to my game.  Skating, shooting, positioning, it all comes a little easier to me since starting at Puckmasters and you and your Coaching Staff's help.  Additionally the added benefit of a cardio and anaerobic workout that comes with each session is a side benefit that has helped keep me in great shape for my age.  I would encourage other adults, of any age, with an interest in improving or learning this game to seriously give Puckmasters and their highly skilled and encouraging staff a try.  If I can do it and make improvements to my game at 55, imagine what you can do.  Thanks for all you have helped me with to improve my play, help keep me in shape, and keep a life long love of the game going for me.

I would rate yours amongst the best!

February 9th, 2009

Chad,

I want to take this opportunity to express my thanks to you, Wes and the rest of the Puckmaster’s staff for your work with Michael.

Over the past two years since Michaels has been coming to Puckmasters, his coaches and I have seen tremendous improvement in his skills.  Technically he has developed into an excellent player.  Many would feel that this is the primary benefit of a program like yours, I would challenge that and say that it is only half of the benefit.  Confidence is extremely important in hockey as well as any sport.  Learning skills and proper technique allows Michael to play with much more confidence thus rounding out his development and his play.  Michael is able to see his progress and learned that through hard work and dedication anything is possible.

As the assistant hockey coach for Loyola University, I have been exposed to many training programs and camps and would rate yours amongst the best of the best for teaching skills and confidence.  Your work with kids and adults is to be commended and much appreciated.

Keep up the good work.

Best regards,

Marc Schwartz

Mov'n on up!

Chad and Kevin,

I just wanted to take this opportunity to thank you both on helping my
daughter Connor Denton over the summer with a conditioning program that
allowed her to succeed.  You helped her to establish her goal of making the
top girls team (NIHL Gold) in the fall, and now she has realized that. After
your summer working with her one on one, she was able to walk into the
Falcons Girls U-12 Team tryouts and make the team only being 9 years old!
She loves to come and skate with all of you and your hard work with her has
helped her move on to the next level.  She will be competing in the NIHL
Girls Gold Division on a team that won the Presidents Cup last year.  Your
program of helping hockey players is second to none and we look forward to
continuing your program in the future.  You truly helped her to achieve the
next level and this speaks volumes to your business and care for the young
hockey players of today.

Thank you again for making my daughter's day when she was named to that
team. Her smile alone makes it all worth while.

Sincerely,

Paul G Denton

Life Lessons

Just wanted to thank you for the pump up letter.  I had both the boys read it before tryouts that day and Anthony did everything you said.  Because of his extreme efforts during tryouts he is on the bubble for the TOP TEAM!!  I am amazed at this dedication and drive,  and, what I thought would be impossible (mainly because of his age and size) may become possible.  The Bantams have had 1 extra tryout, which was yesterday, because of Anthony and two other skaters who are on the bubble with him.  We are still anxiously awaiting the decision.  But, no matter what it is, I must commend my son.

He has shown great character and determination and I couldn't be any prouder.

I also want to personally thank you and Drew.  You both have given my boys the self-confidence they need to be the best.

By the way, Mikey was on the bubble also for top team.  Unfortunately, he did not make it, however, he has the excitement of playing with Trent Yawney's son, and possibly making team captain.  I feel he was placed where he belongs and he should have an awesome season.  He is upset, but mainly because his friends are not with him.  He did not show as well at tryouts as Anthony did.  Like I always tell them, "you get back, what you put out."  I hope he has learned a "life long" lesson with this experience.  I believe he felt he was just going to "walk on" the team.....

Sincerely,

Elayne DeSalvo

Making good hockey players into Great Hockey players!

I would like to take this opportunity to recognize the outstanding goalie-training program, which Puckmasters has afforded our son: Brand Chase Warnes, Kenosha, Wi Komets Travel A Goalie.  While your program has distinguished itself as an elite hockey goalie training organization, as exampled by Brandon’s moving from a 2nd team goalie too a 1st team travel #1 goalie, your program stands out by your unique ability to simultaneously make the great game of hockey fun for a whole new generation!  It is this combination of variables which makes your Puckmasters organization separate itself from other programs, hence, as I tell other hockey parents:

“Puckmasters; making good hockey players into great hockey players!”

He as performed Outstanding!

In March our son Kent began taking lessons at Puckmasters.  When he began at Puckmasters he fell a lot, needed help skating backwards, stick handling, and lots of attention. In September he began in the mini mite program at Highland Park.  The program began with clinics and we were excited to see Kent skate the entire rink to warm up, perform the necessary drills, and participate in the scrimmages.  In comparing Kent’s skills to last year he has performed outstanding!  We weren’t confident how he would skate at Highland Park, but he has amazed us what he is doing now!  A year ago he wouldn’t skate the entire rink, skate backwards, get up after falling or skate with a stick. Thanks to the staff at Puckmasters, you really made a difference!

Puckmasters is a first class operation!

Tyler’s complete game has improved.  His biggest improvement is in his shooting the puck and hitting the corners now.  His general knowledge of the game has improved dramatically and he is thinking more on where the best place is to be on the ice, and what to do when he gets the puck.  Puckmasters is a first class operation and I would recommend them to anyone who wants to get better at the game in a fun atmosphere!

"His confidence level has been extremely boosted"!

Since my son as been in  Puckmasters  program, his confidence level has extremely been boosted. Sebastian has learned so much more than hockey-in this program. He has learned respect not only for himself but also for others.  Every coach that Sebastian has worked with has been nothing but wonderful. I want to thank each one of you; Chris, Chad and Brett, we are grateful for all you have done with our son. Sebastian's excitement carries over to us with each and every lesson we bring him to, because he is truly happy to be there.
