Enjoy a few words from some of "The Great" students who've trained with us. For even more inspiration, please see the Puckmasters Wall of Fame!
Our goal is to have at least one success story from each of our students, so if you're a Puckmaster's student, and you haven't let us know how Puckmasters has changed your life or your playing career, please send us an e-mail and we'll post your story!
"Puckmasters worked for me! I'm living proof of it!"
I want to thank you for providing me with a new outlook on hockey. Because of my Puckmasters training, for the first time in my life I didn't just play hockey. Instead, I believed in the game and myself as a goalie...
"From house hockey to the Western Hockey League!"
When I met you guys for the first time, I thought all of you were crazy. You were telling me I would be playing in the Western Hockey League the following year. For one you didn't know me, two you had never seen me play, and three you said I was going to play in the best major junior league in Canada...
"Always give 110%, don't give up, and have fun!"
I started with Puckmasters as a 10 year old to improve my skills and get into shape. I had never played goalie before but I had been skating since I was 5 so I thought I knew what to do. My sessions at Puckmasters focussed on my techniques and since I had never played in net before, I really needed the help! The coaches were patient and worked me hard and smart. No sessions were wasted and I learned a ton. Always give 110%, don't give up, and have fun are just a few life long lessons I learned from Puckmasters. As for hockey, I've played AAA all of my life, won the Western Canadians in Bantam, drafted to the WHL, played Junior A as a 16 year old, recieved a full-ride scholarship to a Division 1 University when I was 17, and was ranked 30 in North America by NHL Central Scouting for the 2004 NHL Draft. Thanks Puckmasters!
"He bagged the MVP award for the second game with only 4 hours rest between the two games"
Rajan was in a tournament at Semiahmoo this weekend, and guess who won best goalie in the individual shootout? Four goalies made it into the sudden death final, and two goalies went down after the first and second rounds. After that they went through every skater and 6 forwards deep again, and Rajan pulled it out!
In the next game, despite having 10" pads opposed to everyone else's 11" pads, he played extremely well and bagged the MVP award with only 4 hours rest between the two games!
So if his head doesn't make it through the door next session, you know why!!!!
"Student now plays Midget AAA"
"Puckmasters has given Trevor the mental and physical training he needs to give his team good goaltending."
"NHL All Star Sharpens Skills"
"When I need to sharpen my skills I go to Puckmasters and you should too"
"Thanks to Puckmasters I was offered a scholarship!"
When I first came to Puckmasters, I was a down, un-motivated 19 year old. I had already been to the "next level", playing Junior 'A'. I felt I needed nothing to work on, needed no help at all. Truth was, I needed help, big time! After training at Puckmasters, my game and attitude changed ten-fold. Thanks to the Puckmasters Program I was offered a scholarship in my 20 year old year. I want to thank Pete and Puckmasters for believing in me, and they still do!
Yours in hockey,
Josh Ormsby
"I can't wait for my next Puckmasters Session!"
It's me Cam. I just wanted to let you know I really like Puckmasters and I learned a lot that session. We played our last game yesterday. Even though we lost that game 8 to 6 I got a hat trick. I scored the last goal with 9 seconds left in the game. I can't wait until my next Puckmaster session.
"Thanks for all your coaching!"
Thanks for all your coaching and time in the 1st half it is definitely one of the major reasons that the boys have improved so much and the team is doing so well in A1 ( 4th place ).
